Saturday, September 19, 2009
6:30 a.m. -   registration opens
8:00 a.m. -   1 mile fun run / walk begins
8:30 a.m.-  5k run / walk begins

Starting Line:

 

The parking deck of the Ferguson Center for the Arts
(see #20 in lower right corner of map (opens new window))

Directions:

 

Take I-64 East to Exit 258-A, J. Clyde Morris Blvd. South (Rt. 17).
Continue straight and cross Warwick Blvd.
The street becomes Avenue of the Arts (formerly Museum Drive).
Bear to your right on Avenue of the Arts.
Turn right into the parking deck.

Entry Fees:

 

5k run / walk:
$15 before Sept. 1, $20 after Sept. 1, $25 Race Day (Sept. 19)
$10 for military, students, children under 12

1 miler run / walk:
$8 before Sept. 1, $10 after Sept. 1
$1 off all events for seniors and Lifelong Learning members

First-Place Prizes :

 

  • Top male finisher and top female finisher both win $150, second place finishers win $75 and third place finishers win $25.
Awards:

 

  • Top 3 male and top 3 female finishers
  • Top 3 in each of the following age groups:
    • 14 & below, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44,
      45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 & over
  • Top 3 finishers in the 5k walk and 1 miler
Refreshments:

 

Refreshments will be served after the race.
