Alumni House Campaign

Alumni House

Dear Fellow Alumni,

We are excited to inform you that the university is moving forward with plans to construct a distinctive building on campus for alumni. The Alumni House will be a striking facility—a place to reunite with former classmates and professors and reminisce about our college days. We look forward to hosting reunions, seminars, pre-and-post game activities, and other alumni events in our own special venue.

Since our beginning in the early 1960s as Christopher Newport College, then as Christopher Newport University, more than 16,000 students have earned degrees. As our alumni make significant strides in their careers and communities, the university is creating a special space on campus to recognize their achievements and also display photographs and memorabilia reflecting our amazing college history.

The University has launched the Alumni House Building Capital Campaign and we are asking CNU graduates to support this initiative through gifts at any level. Now the time has come to add another jewel to our campus landscape and we look forward to receiving your support!

Significant naming opportunities will be available for leadership gifts, including the naming of the house, meeting rooms and office suites, the patio area, garden, and rotunda/foyer.

As we look toward the future and honor the past, the Alumni House will become a natural gathering place where all CNU constituencies can engage in campus activities for generations to come. Please join us in making this campaign a huge success!!

Sincerely,
Henry Jones ’75, Jim Eyre ‘75, Scott Millar ‘85 and Jason Houser ‘97
