Because of the positive experiences and relationships they developed as CNU students, nearly 100 CNU Alumni have returned to work for their alma mater.

Alumni Society

Building an active, exciting and involved Christopher Newport University Alumni Society is the priority of the Board of Directors. The national average for alumni participation in university support and events is 28 percent – a percentage CNU aims to exceed. The Board is developing plans for greater outreach to Alumni to bring them back to campus and to be a part of the exciting initiatives that are making CNU one of the best liberal arts universities in the country. A new Board of Directors will be elected in May and they will consider important issues such as membership dues, an Alumni house, regional chapters and increased financial support for scholarships. The Alumni Society must set goals that will help our University get better, gain state and national recognition and be a magnet for the best and brightest students. Please visit explore.cnu.edu and share your thoughts and suggestions.
